Lecture and Exhibition "Nietzsche & 2001: A Space Odyssey"


University Library “Svetozar Markovic” and Faculty of Philology are organizing a lecture “Nietzsche and 2001: A Space Odyssey” on March 15, 2012 at 7 pm at the University Library, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 71. Lecturer will be one of the most distinguished contemporary anthropologists prof. Dr. Dr. H. James Birx from the Canisius College, USA.

University Library "Svetozar Markovic"
has opened an exhibition on
Zaharija Orfelin (1726-1785),
one of the most notable Serbs in the eighteenth century,
regarding 250 years since publishing his song The Lament of Serbia.
He was an engraver, calligrapher, cartographer, writer, teacher, scientist,
author of schoolbooks, theological and nature history books,
historian, poet, maker of the calendar.

University of Belgrade Rector signed the Berlin declaration on Open Access to Scientific Knowledge

On November 9th 2011 University of Belgrade Senate reached the decision to support Open Access principle. Following this Rector of The University of Belgrade Branko Kovacevic signed the Berlin declaration on Open Access to Scientific Knowledge.
